September Recap

  • Average Pace: 11:21
  • Total miles for the year: 658

    I had hoped to break 100 miles for the month but it wasn’t in the cards. I got my hours back at work which forced me to shorten my mid-week runs.  I’m not complaining. I ran my 2 longest distances of 16 & 18 miles in September! Talk about a month full of milestones. It brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it. This girl never even dreamed of being able to run a mile let alone 18!

    This past weekend was week #14 in my 18 week training plan. Thankfully it was a cut back week and I “only” had to run 10 miles. HA did you hear that? Only 10 miles.

  • I am now preparing myself for the big 20 miler on Saturday. I am thinking positive and I know it’s going to be a great run. I purchased compression sleeves for my calves and I hope they will help to alleviate some of the cramping. The weather is going to be cool and I have someone to run with. My plan is to run a consistent pace between 11:30-12:00. Sunday I will be cheering on all of my local running buddies as many of them are running their first marathon & half marathon!

    4. Totally amazing. You make me want to get out of the house and get some serious mileage done NOW.
      That's how I got injured the last time I got too much inspiration.

      This Saturday will be my longest run this year of 9 miles. Hopefully I'll do a great pace as well....
