WEEK 10 LONG RUN RECAP

My long run this past weekend was 12 miles. I met up with my Mountain Mamma’s and proceeded to run up a freaking “mountain” for 5 miles. The first time I ran this course I said I would never do it again. I mean it this time – I WILL NEVER run this route again.

Everything that could have gone wrong did. I felt like crap the entire time. I ran in bad sneakers because the new pair I purchased were a narrow size and I had to send them back. By the last mile the balls of my feet were on fire! I did a run/walk with the focus on walking.

My training planned called for 12 miles @ 11:05 pace. I did 12 miles @ 11:21 pace. I’m ok with the pace since the route was super difficult.

  • Mile 1 - 10:10
  • Mile 2 - 11:36
  • Mile 3 - 12:08
  • Mile 4 - 11:08
  • Mile 5 - 11:42
  • Mile 6 - 10:48 <—The downhill starts
  • Mile 7 - 11:08
  • Mile 8 - 10:56
  • Mile 9 - 10:25
  • Mile 10 - 10:44
  • Mile 11 – ? I didn't write this down for some reason lol
  • Mile 12 - 12:46 (walked most of this mile)
  • Total Time: 2:16

My new sneakers should be here today and I plan to run 7 miles in them tomorrow. They are the same sneakers I always wear so I shouldn't have any problems ::knock on wood::.

Saturday I have 16 miles scheduled!! EEEEK

Random question, but what font do you blog in? I love the font and I know it's simple but it's just different from most blogs that I read!

Hopefully the new shoes will do the trick.
