August Recap

September already?! Did it sneak up on anyone else? I am having a hard time believing that the summer is coming to an end. We had an amazing summer in Upstate NY. There were many days of sunshine and lots of heat. While it made for torturous running conditions it certainly helped make me stronger. If I can run 10+ miles in 87% humidity - I can do anything.

August was a great running month. It’s my highest mileage month to date. I also ran my longest distance. I found a great running partner and embraced running up mountains hills.

  • Total miles: 95
  • Average Pace: 10:35
  • Year to date total: 567 miles

I am hoping to break 100 miles in September. Anyone up for the challenge?

Don’t forget to check out my GIVEAWAY!!

  1. AWESOME!! one good thing about training for a fall marathon is that you do a lot of runs in the heat, so once fall rolls around it gets so much easier and you're so much stronger!!! Great job! I am confident that you will break 100 next month!!!

  6. Great mileage! My goal this month was 100, but I ended up injured, took 10 days off and then came back to it slowly. Still reached about 51 though.

I won't be taking up the 100+ mile challenge this month. I'm slowly rebuilding up my mileage and should hit about 80 this month.
