At the end of every month I log onto dailymile to see what my monthly mileage was. I was completely shocked when I saw July’s number. July was my highest mileage month EVER!! I almost started to cry because I was so proud of myself. The craziest part is that I still have 13 weeks left in marathon training so I know I will reach a new milestone in the months to come.
- Total miles: 90
- Average Pace: 10:13
- Total miles for the year: 472
And just for fun – here is a recap of the year.
- January 2010 – 70 miles. Avg Pace: 9:40.
- February 2010 – 59 miles. Avg Pace: 10:33
- March 2010 – 61 miles. Avg Pace: 10:23
- April 2010 – 68 miles. Avg Pace: 9:34
- May 2010 – 65 miles. Avg Pace: 10:24
- June 2010 – 59 miles. Avg Pace: 10:02
I ran a bunch of 5Ks in January & April which is why my average pace is so speedy for those 2 months.
2 years ago when I was just thinking about starting to run I never imagined that I could achieve all that I have. I was happy with the thought of being able to run for a mile at 230lbs and here I am at 169 lbs and training to run 26.2 miles.
